Depression Self-Assessment

Are you feeling sad or miserable most of the time?

When going through a difficult season, it is normal to sometimes feel down. But if you’re feeling sad most of the time, for a long period, you may have depression. ANswer “yes” or “no” to the below questions to see if you have any of the depression warning signs.

Are you feeling sad, empty, or hopeless most of the time?

Do you have trouble falling or staying asleep, or sleeping too much?

Do you often have feelings of worthlessness?

Is your work, family, and/or social life suffering?

Do you have little interest or pleasure in doing things you previously did?

Has your appetite significantly decreased or find yourself overeating?

Do you have thoughts that you would be better off dead, or of hurting yourself in some way?
If yes, dial 911 or go to your local emergency room for immediate help.

This self-assessment does not give a diagnosis, but if you answered “yes” to one or more of the above questions, you may have depression. Schedule an appointment with a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor to discuss further, receive a diagnosis and treatment plan.
